Avni Patel has always been interested in how architecture affects our well-being and the way we function. So she created A28: a real estate investment and architecture firm. Now she has freedom to explore her creativity and focus on design, areas of work usually reserved for big budget projects.

Morgan always felt that black millennials weren’t represented enough in mainstream channels. So she created Blavity Inc., a media startup and lifestyle brand for black millennial entrepreneurs and creators, to help them take their businesses to the next level.

Holly Johnson wanted to make her children’s rooms lively and welcoming, but she couldn’t find quality decorative products that weren’t mass produced. So she turned this into an opportunity. Holly founded Cheeky Monkey Home, a small business that produces colorful pillows and accessories. And as her business grows, she is giving back to the community by hiring and training refugees and women in need.
